10:00am - 10:00am
Roy Palmer, the Town Crier for Mablethorpe, Trusthorpe, and Sutton on Sea will be proclaiming the celebration of St George today. Anyone wishing to join in is requested to assemble in the Beck car park at 10am. Costumes would be nice, but are not compulsory! He will appear at the Factory Shop in Mablethorpe at 10.30am, and the War Memorial in Sutton on Sea at 12.30pm. The man himself, in the person of Councillor Colin Matthews, will be riding his War Horse, Merlin (courtesy of Poplar Farm) and chasing a dragon – (Oh, yes, he will!) accompanied by an entourage including the Mayor, Tony Mee, and the students of Linkage Community Trust, splendidly dressed in medieval attire and playing musical instruments.
If you’d like more information, please call Mr Palmer – sorry, St George! – on 0774 6951949.
